About:
I'm Az, I'm 28 years old, living in Hampshire (England) and have been interested in motorsport since I was 8yrs old! I enjoy all forms of motorsport however my real passion lies with tin top racing and of course Formula One. Those classic Mansell vs Senna vs Prost battles of the late 80's and early 90's (with Murray Walker's legendary commentary) are etched firmly in my memory.

Why photography... Well it's something I just really enjoy. It's only since the start of 2005 that I was able to afford my own kit and devote more time to it. I took my first motorsport photos at my first ever race meeting, the 2002 CART round at Rockingham, UK. I used my Dad's old 35mm camera and although most of the shots weren't great there were one or two that came out quite well (at least I thought so at the time!). Since then I have attended a whole host of events and races - from local grass roots racing racing to Formula One at Monaco!

Equipment... Over the years a fair bit of kit has come and gone. I won't go into detail but my current camera & lens kit consists of the following (acquired date in brackets)...

I would perhaps like to add a 70-200mm F2.8 and a 500mm prime to my setup - although I need to save up a few more pennies first!

FF1600.co.uk - Towards the end of 2006 I was happy to sign-on and work for FF1600.co.uk, contributing imagery for their excellent reports. Sadly the website ceased being updated at the end of the 2006 season and has now closed.
RaceXpress.com - From 2007 I will on occasions be working for RaceXpress.com, providing photos for their Dutch clients, reports, articles and galleries.

Future... I have no specific targets with my photography. I strive to continue improving and providing better racing and event photography. At the moment I have no real desire to become a full-time photographer, instead I enjoy the flexability of shooting what I want when I want. Of course it would be nice to see more of my work published.
